Food

The people in Japan are passionate about food and appreciate good cuisine. But there is much more to just eating a good local dish. There are rules and etiquette to maintain, as people socialize and build stronger bonds during a meal.

Many Japanese towns and cities are well-known for their local cuisine, whether the specialty is a particular sweet or noodle. But technique and artistic presentation are emphasized because food is an art form. Even the simplest dishes are often prepared by trained chefs.
